- Drained remaining oil from system and removed pan. Cleaned engine mounting surface and installed new oil pan with new gasket. Pumped new oil into the system. Installed new dipstick and started engine. Road tested vehicle. Returned to shop and inspected. No leak present. Vehicle operates as designed.
- Received vehicle and performed inspections. lifted vehicle. Found oil pan severely damaged. Checked all components. Found catalyst shield damaged, but appears to be cosmetic only, catalyst is not exhibiting signs of failure. Found engine oil dipstick broken and requiring replacement. Engine turns freely, no signs of engine seizure or failure. Recommend replacement of oil pan, gasket and engine oil dipstick.
