- Used scan tool to see temp sensors outer and inner temp. Temp in evaporator core the lowest got to was 86 degrees, should sit at 38 degrees to 40 degrees while running AC at the time of testing never froze over causing AC shut off and defrost, current temp outside 84 degrees but evaporator is reading higher than ambient temp goes from 86 degrees to 94 degrees when vehicle stationary inside shor for 30 minutes, recheck evap core temp sensor is at faulty. ALso removed blower motor to inspect evap core if it has frozen over with inspection camera and at this time it has not frozen over, ran AC for 30 minutes before checking. Inspect ticking/rattle noise – found the cat rattle or turbo, rattle on actuator has no excessive play on actuator small amount still within tolerance can cause rattle at start up than goes away when hot.
