  • disconnect the battery cable, removed the drive belt, lift the vehicle and disconnect the electrical connector from the alternator, removed the generator output terminal nut and disconnect the battery positive lead from the alternator, removed alternators lower bolts, lower vehicle, removed alternators upper bolt and removed alternator. Install New Alternator to engine, install alternators upper bolt, lift vehicle and install alternators lower bolts, tightened bolts to spec. connected positive battery cable, tightened cable to spec. install terminal boot, connected electrical to alternator, lowered vehicle, installed drive belt to alternator, finished connecting battery to vehicle tightened all bolts to spec. New Alternator charging system now puts out 14.07 at Idle.

  • Removed front wheels, removed calipers and brakes from vehicle, connected lathe equipment to vehicle and turned front rotors, cleaned dust from rotors. Installed New brakes to calipers and to rotors, mounted wheels to vehicle. Torqued at 95ftlbs Test drove vehicle, runs and stops and drives ok at this time,

ABLE TO INDUCE A MISFIRE BY DISCONNECTING FUEL INJECTORS FOR CYLINDER 5 AND 6, ALSO REFLECTS ON LIVE DATA. BOTH CYLINDERS ARE FIRING AS THEY SHOULD AT THIS TIME. ENGINE DOES IDLE A LITTLE ROUGH, CHECKED ENGINE VACUUM AT 18 IN HG. A LITTLE LOW. TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDS MOTORVAC SERVICE, CLEAN OUT THROTTLE BODY AND MAF SENSOR. CLEARED ALL CODES ONLY ONE THAT CAME BACK P0443, EVAP CONTROL VALVE FAULT. OHM TESTES CANISTER PURGE VALVE. SPEC IS 30 TO 38 OHMS. FOUND GOOD OHMS AT 34 OHMS. CHECK FOR POWER AT RED/YELLOW WIRE AT VALVE FOUND GOOD BATT VOLTAGE 12.7V. CHECKED FOR OPEN OR SHORTS AT PIN 56 AT PCM AND FOUND GOOD GROUND AT .03 V DROP. CLEARED CODE AND PERFORMED KEY ON ENGINE OFF SELF TEST. CODE CAME RIGHT BACK. AS PER FLOW CHART PCM HAS INTERNAL OPEN OR SHORT. TECHNICIAN COMPLETED FUEL INDUCTION SERVICE.
